During my studies at the Fine Arts School in Nancy, I had the chance to meet Korean artists — including Jong Ge and Won Sik Ho — with whom I formed real friendships. These encounters left a lasting impression on my vision of the world and of art, and the desire to engage with this cultural context has remained present throughout my artistic life.

Trained as a painter, my pictorial foundation remains visible in my work from the very first glance — a continuity that runs through every medium I have explored.

In 2002, I moved to Prague, where I dedicated twenty years to photography and opening my studio kapakphoto.com, mainly exploring portrait and experimentation. My commissioned work is centered on human presence, relationships, and the ability to capture authentic emotional moments. This long-term engagement with people has deeply shaped my visual sensitivity and my approach to image-making.

Through a triple practice — portraiture, experimentation, and painting — I explore the image as a tool for encounter, a field of visual research, and a vehicle for emotion. This work is also shaped by over twenty years of Tai Chi practice — a discipline that has refined my perception of movement, balance, and the flow of energy, and contributed to a deeper sensitivity toward Asian aesthetics and ways of perceiving space, time, and presence

The creative process is guided by the artwork itself, seeking to bring depth or lightness, to enrich or simplify it. Once balanced, each piece aims to evoke an individual imagination, enhancing over time.
